Yamaha TRB-JP2 John Patitucci Signature

Product Details

Finished to an astonishing level, the high-spec and virtuoso-worthy Yamaha TRB JP2 six-string bass is every bit the signature model of Mr. John Patitucci. Initially known for his work as part of the Chick Corea Elektric Band, Patitucci is a much sought-after legend of jazz bass, so it's little wonder that he's been awarded with the expanded range of six-strings and the ultimate resonance and stability of a four-piece maple, alder, and ash body. Expect a full and beautifully rich foundation and the comfort of an extra-long 35 inch scale length - perfect for longer bodied musicians. Small chip on the lower horn and the back of neck. The Yamaha TRB JP2 Bass: Every Sonic Colour

The hybrid maple, ash, and alder body has been finished with a bolt-on maple neck to further reinforce overall stability and aid flexibility when any adjustments are needed, and this 26-fret neck has also been shot through a dual truss rod to firmly balance the tension of the six strings. The result is a stunningly solid foundation for the two mounted Alnico-V pickups at the bridge and neck, both of which have been double coiled to efficiently wipe out unwanted noise and ensure supremely accurate performance. This setup has been coupled with active electronics that can be moulded and shaped at will using the fitted tone, volume and balance controls.
